Since our last Wudang travel during autumn 2017 was a great success with many participants, our Wudang academy is planning to start a new journey with a slightly different approach. Since our primary mission is to support Wudang culture as much as possible, we want you to decide to which school you want to go.

We will start off as a large group from Vienna flying to Beijing airport, from there we plan to travel by train to Wudangshan.

You can choose between two schools!

Master Yuan Xiu Gang and Master Chen Shiyu will be our two options. Both masters have a very different approach to the Wudang teachings; the goal is the same source in the end. For you, as a student, it will be very important to see the Wudang doctrines from a different angle, and this is why we want to give you the opportunity to decide how you want to be taught.

Before we go into details I want to give you a short introduction of the two masters:

Master Yuan Xiu Gang

The school of Master Yuan Xiu Gang is newly established near the Tai Ji Lake near the main gate of the Wudang mountains. We have a video from last year where his old school was still at Yuxu Gong – a very busy zone for tourists.

The new school should provide a better training environment. Master Yuan Xiu Gang prefers strict schedule and training discipline, and we will give you the chance to practice with the traditional class. There is a slower group for the elderly too!

Master Chen Shiyu

Master Chen Shiyu is living up in the Wudang mountain in a quiet and very isolated environment. The school is more focused as a place to improve your self-study. If you do not have the discipline to practice daily by yourself, this school is not recommended. Master Chen Shiyu is looking at each student closely and will coach them personally, but also give them the freedom to proof and develop themselves.

Which school is for you?

Both schools feature entirely different environments and training methods, besides that both of them are very traditional.

When will we start the travel?

We are planning to fly on 2nd of May 2019!

How long will we stay?

Both groups can stay up to 29th of May; we plan to be back in Vienna on 31st May.

Organization

Both groups will meet up at the Beijing airport, from there we will travel together to the Wudangshan train station. Both schools will provide pick-up cars for us, and we will be transported in two groups to our destination. If the group is too large for car transport (like last time), we will only transport our luggage to the school and travel there by public bus. In the second case, we will appoint a group leader for each group who is familiar with the environment.

Optional Content

For those who are more interested in traveling or seeing new things, everyone has the opportunity to go around on Thursday (free day, no training) and explore the Wudang area. During your stay, you have this opportunity three times. I am also planning for myself a trip to Thomas organic green tea farm in the Wudang mountains – you can see his tea here!

For both schools, the price will be equal, for the stay we receive special treatment from the Shifu and personal coaches. You have the opportunity to learn a form of your choosing – check available content here!

Price per person is 949 Eur

Included are accommodation, food, individual coaching, travel guide, and group training. Travel expenses are not included!
